Captain America: Brave New World Director Says Working with Harrison Ford Was 'Mind-Blowing' (Exclusive)

Captain America: a brave new world Director Julius Onah had to work with one of his heroes on the screen in the latest movie Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In an interview with People, the One, 42, he said that working with Harrison Ford (82) was “fantastic”, he grew up looking at him in classics like Indiana Jones and Star wars.

“It’s funny because you don’t mention Indiana Jones And you don’t mention Star wars Just because of Harrison, “says Sadh.” These are massive, larger than life, popular properties that have affected so many people. But they are also two massive franchises involving Harrison Ford, obviously one of them in a titular role. So, getting to know him was amazing. I learned a huge amount from him. Getting a chance to direct it was fantastic. ”

Ford shows the Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross in the Fourth Captain America movie; The late William Hurt previously played that character in MCU. Below, Ross and Anthony Mackie Sam Wilson developed a tense relationship after Ross was elected president of the United States.

“Just like Mackie, I think they both really got into their appearances in this movie,” he says on Ford and Mackie. Finding the level of emotional authenticity for actors’ characters has proven to be important on the set, adds filmmakers.

“So, when I passed the star, and we went down to the snacks to just start talking about the role, I had a view in terms of what I thought the emotional journey of this character should be,” he adds to Ford. “He answered it. And then it was about how to bring details and a shade and surprise and a specificity to it. There is no one better than Harrison when it comes to reviving these characters.”

Asked about Ford’s known dry sense of humor during public performances and working with him on the set, Slata says that he thinks Ford “loves somehow leaning into that expectation and playing with him.”
