The coach’s parents, Rosemary and Jim Blashill, welcomed him to the world on December 10, 1973 in Detroit, Michigan. He moved to Sault Ste. Marie was with his family when he was about 18 months old. Also, Lisa Blashill Peacock, Deborah Blashill and Tim Blashill are Jeff’s three siblings. Jeff is the third oldest of the four.
The assistant coach comes from pioneers in the fields of hockey, health and academia. Rosemary Blashill, Jeff Blashill’s mother, was a nurse who eventually became the chief nursing officer of the Chippewa County Health Department.
