Marla Gibbs, 93, Says She's 'Ready to Work Again' as She Accepts Hollywood Legacy Award at ABFF Honors

Marla Gibbs celebrates her fertile career in Hollywood – and is ready for more!

AND Jeffersons Alum, 93, received Hollywood Legacy Award at the American Black Film Honors in Los Angeles on Monday, February 17, for his fertile career of actress and producer. The event, founded in 2016, pays tribute to black artists who advocated diversity and involvement and made a significant contribution to the American Entertainment.

Gibbs presented the award by Regina King, her former NBC 227 Kostar. Gibbs immediately expressed his excitement for the king, 54, beside her.

“I’m also excited to be honored today. Being honored is wonderful. Especially while you’re still on the planet, “Gibbs started his speech about accepting.” I had some ladies and they said, “Marla, I always wanted to act. Together with the Gibbs Award at the event of February 17th, the Aunjinue Ellis-Taylor received the Excellence in the Arts Award, Keke Palmer was awarded the Renaissance Award, the Aaron Pierre was recognized with the Rading Star Award, and Giancarlo Esposito was awarded excellence in Arts Award.
