Taylor Swift seems to have added a new piece of jewelry to her collection: a Cartier watch worth over $32,000.
Swift’s friend and stylist, designer Ashley Avignone, posted a photo of herself with the Grammy winner on Sunday, December 29 from a recent birthday dinner in New York.
“Happy birthday to me, emphasis on *happy* 😆,” Avignone captioned the post, in which she and Swift hugged in front of a rainbow-colored birthday cake.
Astute style expert and Taylor Swift fan Sarah Chapelle was quick to note that the photo contained a small — but ultra-glamorous — fashion detail: a gold Cartier watch.

“A new watch has been added to Taylor’s (slowly) growing collection,” Chapelle wrote in an Instagram post on Monday, Dec. 30, adding that the songstress was also recently spotted wearing a yellow gold Louis Vuitton watch at the Kansas City Chiefs game on Nov. 10. .

Chapelle also noted that while Swift has “upped her jewelry game” over the past year, experimenting with new styles and “crowd art” with necklaces, earrings and bracelets, watches are definitely a new category of accessory for the star.
“In my memory, the only time I can remember Taylor getting close to watches is when they were formatted in different settings like, say, an old watch face strung on a necklace pendant,” she wrote.
“Personally, I’ve always admired the Cartier ‘Tank’ style (worn and loved by Princess Diana) so I’m excited to see Taylor wearing a Cartier piece here,” she continued, adding, “I’m looking forward to seeing if this is a new category she adds to more pieces.”

The “Karma” singer — who was accompanied by boyfriend Travis Kelce — wore her hair down chic and paired it all with her signature bold red lips.
