A homeless cat with a face twisted in horror lives a life of poverty, scavenging food in trash cans in Istanbul, Turkey.
Everyone noticed her as she kept walking. They quickly removed her because of her ugly appearance.
A seven-year-old girl noticed a sick animal and felt different from the others who ignored it. She looked beyond her disfigured face and realized she had to do something to save her.
She brought the frail cat home to her father and asked him for help. The poor cat is very thin, has one ear missing, can barely open his right eye, and has ticks.
The girl and her father took the cat to the vet, where they could take care of her and take care of her health. They treated her with special drugs and performed surgery to create some facial deformities.
The cat’s name is Gulumser, which means “one who always smiles”. The cat is fine now and has grown up undivided with the little girl who saved his life.
This story is proof that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover.
For rescue businesses that save thousands of pets each year, providing basic dog and cat necessities, such as food and medical care, can be expensive — often leaving little budget for essentials.
