Pal Ben Capper said, “I’m running a Leeds marathon in his honor.”
Oliver suddenly collapsed as he enjoyed drinks at the bar on March 22.
The bar manager, Gaston Luciano, said Brit fell back from the bar table and hit his head on the ground.
Luciano said, “I did a CPR with the help of another customer, he responded for about 60 seconds, and then there was nothing.
“We tried about 15 minutes before the ambulance arrived and then took over and worked on it for another 45.
“They gave him an adrenaline shot and connected it to the machine, they did everything they could, it was so sad.
“His friends were in shock for the first minute or roughly, and then they were hit by what was happening, they were emotional and wept.”
Holiday Tracey Pilling walked by the bar when the incident took place.
She said, “There were a lot of people out there, we just passed, but there were several police cars and two ambulances … It was very sad.
“We moved on because we thought it was inappropriate to stand and watch, but they told us that his friends were standing outside.”
Tracey said she searched the internet the next day to see if she had updates and posted on Benidorm Forum.
One witness replied in the post: “It was so terrible and tragic to testify, I never saw anything like that!
“I can’t stop thinking about him and his wife, and I’m sure his friends and family said he had a young man, let him rest in peace.”
Spanish national police said at the time: “We can confirm that the man suffered some kind of medical problems and died at the scene.
“It was treated by those present in the premises and then the paramedics who responded to the invitation.
“The medical causes of death are not known.”
