Clint Barton may be best known for his archery, but MCU trends suggest that Hawkeye has another superpower that’s even better than a sniper.
Due to the range of his abilities, Hawkeye can be considered the weakest Avenger in the MCU, but his best superpower has nothing to do with the bow. Ever since the MCU’s Avengers got together, Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton has been fascinating. For a team comprised of super-soldiers, billionaires in high-end suits, Asgardian gods, and ferocious monsters, the need for someone who could shoot arrows professionally was debated.
Despite claims that Hawkeye is the Worst Avenger, MCU history tells another story about Clint Barton’s importance to the universe. That’s the result of the Avengers never losing in a movie with Hawkeye in. Avengers failed to stop Thanos Avengers: Infinity War Clint is not recruited to fight. He later became a member of Team Cap Captain America: Civil War, who are said to be on the right side of the divide. While Hawkeye’s ability to shoot arrows and marksmanship is more evident in his skill set, it’s not his best superpower.
Hawkeye helped turn 4 MCU villains into heroes
Hawkeye’s heart and ability to turn villains into heroes is one of his best superpowers in the MCU, as he’s done it four times in the past. The first known villain Hawkeye to become a hero happened to Black Widow. Hawkeye was sent by SHIELD to kill the deadly Russian assassin, but he made another call during his meeting with Natasha Romanoff. He helps her escape Russia, tries to destroy the Red Room, and joins SHIELD before she becomes one of the best Avengers ever. Hawkeye continues the trend Avengers: Age of Ultronbecause it was his speech to the Scarlet Witch that helped convince her to become an Avenger.
Clint Barton continues to have a great relationship with Natasha and Wanda Maximoff after helping turn the villains of the MCU into heroes. Eagle Eye Includes more examples of him learning the truth about the perpetrators’ motives and using that to start redeeming them. He reveals the truth about her father’s death to Echo, pitting her against the Kingpin, which will make Maya Lopez a future hero. Clint is also more open to Yelena Belova Eagle EyeAn ending about the true circumstances of Black Widow’s death, convincing her not to kill him. This will lead to Yelena joining Raiden and possibly becoming more of a hero.
Hawkeye Creates Fifth Superhero With Kate Bishop
Hawkeye is not only good at helping MCU villains become heroes, but also Eagle Eye Also shows how he inspired Kate Bishop to become a superhero. This is the result of Clint killing Chitauri with an arrow during the Battle of New York. That moment gave Kate a lifelong love for Hawkeye, and it led her to learn archery and martial arts so she could become her favorite Avenger.
Eagle Eye Finally, allowing Clint Barton to have a more immediate impact on Kate Bishop’s life after they met. He gave her helpful instructions and advice, showing her what it takes to be an MCU hero. Kate proves herself to be a capable superhero throughout the film, and Clint even gives her the name Hawkeye at the end of the film. Though Clint’s days as an Avenger are over, his villain-turning-hero superpowers could still help as the MCU evolves.
