Steps to sign up for a new AT&T email address
- First, go to Current.com in your browser and click the ‘Login’ button.
- On the AT&T login page, scroll down and click “Create Now”
- You then need to choose a user ID for yourself, including a domain other than ‘@currently.com’ or ‘@att.net’. Then you have to enter your first name, last name, age and finally click ‘Continue’.
- You must then enter your mobile phone number, zip code, and alternate email to protect your account; click ‘Send code’.
- Enter the code you received and click ‘Continue’.
- Enter the information required to create your new AT&T email address and password.
- Fill in your profile information along with security questions and answers.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to create your new AT&T account.
AT&T Email Registration Process
Signing into your AT&T account isn’t rocket science, and it’s just a matter of a few steps. Here are the simple steps to follow to successfully log into an AT&T email account:
- First, go to the att.net email login page
- Enter your AT&T User ID
- Enter the password
- Finally, click ‘Login’

How do I sign in to an AT&T email account in a third-party email client like Outlook?
Most AT&T customers use their email accounts by setting them up for Outlook. You can also set up your AT&T account in Outlook if you want to manage your email in one place.
So if you are going to set up your AT&T email for the first time in Outlook, you need to follow these steps:

- Start Outlook, then click File > Add Account.
- Then select Manual configuration or additional server types.
- Choose POP or IMAP.
- Enter the required user data:
- Write your name as you want it to appear to others
- Enter your full AT&T email address.
- Then fill in the server information:
- Account type: select IMAP or POP3
- Incoming mail server: Enter imap.mail.att.net (IMAP) or inbound.att.net (POP3).
- Outgoing mail server: Enter smtp.mail.att.net (IMAP) or outbound.att.net (POP3).
- Enter login information:
- Username: Enter your full email address.
- Password: Enter or paste your secure email password.
- Check ‘Remember password’ and ‘Require login using strong password authentication’.
- Click on “More settings”.
- Enter the outgoing server information:
- Check My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
- Select Use the same settings as my incoming mail server.
- Finally, you must complete the Advanced Information:
- Incoming Server: Enter 993 (IMAP) or 995 (POP3).
- Use the following type of encrypted connection: select SSL.
- Outgoing Server: Enter 465 (IMAP and POP3).
- Use the following type of encrypted connection: select SSL.
- Click OK and then Next.
- Outlook will verify and confirm your account information. If all goes well, select Finish.
Problems signing in to AT&T Mail
If you have successfully logged into your AT&T account, consider yourself lucky as many users have had trouble logging in. - First, go to att.com/myatt.
- Then click on ‘I forgot my password’.
- Then enter your AT&T User ID and ‘Last Name’ and click ‘Continue’.
- Choose between ‘Security Question’ and ‘Temporary Password’
- Follow the onscreen instructions to change the password for your AT&T email account.
Resetting your AT&T account password will help you if you can’t log in because you entered incorrect login information or your AT&T account has been hacked.
