5 of the McCallister Kids From Home Alone Reunite For the First Time in 30 Years

Although the legions of fans may return to the 1990s again Alone in the house (and in 1992 Home Alone 2: Lost in New York) every year, the fictional McCallister children haven’t been reunited in thirty years — until now.

On Sunday, December 8th, Devin Ratray, Kristen Minter, Michael Maronna, Angela Goethals and Jed Cohen reunited at Pandora’s Box Toys & Collectibles in Lafayette, NJ for a meet and greet. In photos shared on the Internet, the five posed with each other and with fans. The store wrote on Instagram: “This was the first time everyone was together in over 30 years!”

IN Alone in the houseMacaulay Culkin plays Kevin McCallister, the family’s youngest son who happens to be left at home when the family goes to Paris for Christmas. Ratray, 47, played the eldest brother Buzz. Minter, 59, played cousin Heather. Maronna (47) played brother Jeff, and Goethals (47) played sister Linnie. Cohen, 48, rounded out the group as cousin Rod.

Catherine O’Hara played Kevin’s mom Kate, John Heard played father Peter, and Hillary Wolf played Kevin’s oldest sister Megan. For Alone in the house 2Minter and Goethals did not return, but Kieran Culkin, Macaulay’s brother, joined as another relative.

Back in 2021, Ratray revealed her relationship with him to PEOPLE Alone in the house costars and teased a reunion. “They were planning an online reunion and I recently, like a few days ago, went into their Messenger chat thread and was trying to keep up with Jed Cohen and Diana [Rein] and Terrie [Snell] and Angela Goethals and Hillary Wolf,” he said. Ratray told PEOPLE that he was always grateful for the film. “This film has become a legacy and has impacted families for more than a generation,” he said. “Parents show their children, children show their grandchildren something that I was a part of. I don’t know what life was like without him Alone in the housesince I just turned 13 years old. I realized that this movie is bigger than me. It’s bigger than any actor’s ego. It became part of the indelible imprints in the family – in their consciousness.”

Back in January, O’Hara, 70, spoke with PEOPLE about a long-term Alone in the house debate — how rich the McCallisters are. Although she thought the family home was “pretty amazing”, she said she never thought about their finances. “I was aware of how beautiful she was, but no, I never thought about their money,” she said. “I didn’t think about it when I was working [the movie]. Of course, they all went to Paris, didn’t they?”

Regarding her involvement in film, O’Hara said that when she chooses films, “I need to care about the whole thing. I don’t want to play a great role in a bad project. You want to be a part of something good and that’s how you go.” Making the movie “was wonderful,” she said, adding, “All those kids playing our kids were just wonderful.”
