50 Cent Says He Still Gets ‘Butterflies’ While Performing Onstage at Every Concert (Exclusive)

No one will ever have to tell 50 Cent to retire from performing – his body will do it for him.

“When I’m getting ready for a show, the first minute I get butterflies,” the 49-year-old rapper tells PEOPLE. “It’s like nervous energy. I think if and when it stops, you shouldn’t do it anymore, because you don’t care about the outcome of the show anymore.” Retirement is nowhere close to happening for 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, especially after he recently announced a mini-concert residency in Las Vegas.

In Da Club’s residency is scheduled for six dates at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino throughout late 2024 and early 2025. There will also be a special New Year’s Eve performance.
