The Teen Mom franchise followed a select few of teen moms from 16 & Pregnant, and it is shockingly approaching its 13-year anniversary in December. The series followed the moms trying to raise their little ones while balancing education and relationship drama, and Teen Mom and its spinoffs are still continuing to this day.
Along the way, audiences and fans got to follow along as the children of Teen Mom grew up in front of the camera as well as on social media. From babies to toddlers, fans watched as the mothers not only grew up themselves, but also every milestone of the children as years passed. After almost 13 years, a majority of the kids who started the show as babies are now teenagers and growing.
Aubree Skye Lind-Deboer
Aubree Skye Lind-Deboer is the daughter of Chelsea Deboer (formerly Houska) of Teen Mom 2. Her mother premiered on the show 16 & Pregnant as a high school senior from South Dakota. On the show, Chelsea dropped out of high school after finding out she was pregnant by her then boyfriend Adam Lind.
Chelsea gave birth to Aubree on September 7, 2009, in South Dakota. After her birth, Aubree would then grow up in front of the world with her and her mom appearing on Teen Mom 2. As the years have passed, Aubree has grown into an amazing young lady at 12 years old with a birthday coming up in the next few days.
Leah Leann Shirley
WIth her parents being the source of some of the most dramatic storylines on Teen Mom, Leah Leann Shirley was born on November 9, 2008, to Amber Portwood and Gary Shirley. Her dad has full custody of her, and this often times caused a bit of tension between Amber and Gary on the show.
With her 14th birthday coming in less than 3 months, Leah has grown up to be a beautiful young lady, looking like the spitting image of both her mother and father. Although her relationship with her mother was on the rocky side, the teen and her mom seem to be repairing and improving their relationship.
Jace Evans
Son to the second most controversial Teen Mom star, Jace Evans was born on August 2, 2009, to Jenelle Evans and Andrew Lewis. He and his mother Jenelle were featured on 16 & Pregnant and then Teen Mom subsequently.
Recently celebrating his 13th birthday, Jace is an older brother to 2 siblings on his mom’s side. Judging from his mom’s Instagram, Jace seems to enjoy being a big brother to his sister and brother, as well as playing soccer. Currently, Jenelle still shares custody with her mother Barb, however, this arrangement doesn’t seem to hinder Jace’s relationship with his mother, and on the contrary, it seems the two’s relationship is the best it’s ever been.
Bentley Cadence Edwards
One of the first teen moms to give birth on 16 & Pregnant, Maci Bookout is one of the most memorable Teen Mom cast members. She got pregnant with then boyfriend Ryan Edwards, the two welcoming baby Bentley in October 2008. Although their relationship didn’t work out in the end, they created an amazing son in Bentley.
Now 13 years old, Bentley is an athletic child, something he gets from his mother. The teenager seems to enjoy golf as well as baseball as his sports of choice. As of now, Bentley continues to grow before fans’ eyes, with his 14th birthday approaching fast.
Carolyn “Carly”
The first teenagers to give their child up for adoption, Tyler Baltierra and Catelynn Baltierra (Lowell) premiered on 16 & Pregnant at a stalemate of whether giving their daughter Carly up for adoption would be the best choice. After realizing they wouldn’t be able to take care of Carly the way they wanted, Catelynn and Tyler decided that allowing hopeful parents Brandon and Theresa to adopt Carly would be for the best.
Carolyn AKA “Carly” was born on May 18, 2009, just recently celebrating her 13th birthday only a few months ago. Now a teenager, not much is known about Carly, whose parents wish to keep her out of the media and limelight. Either way, Carly is sure to have grown into a beautiful young lady after all these years.
Sophia Laurent Abraham
Daughter to one of the most infamous and controversial teen mom’s from the series, Sophia Laurent Abraham was born in 2009 to mother Farrah Abraham and father Derek Underwood. Her mother was featured on the series 16 & Pregnant dealing with the loss of Derek while pregnant with Sophia at the time.
Like her mother, Sophia is outspoken and made for the cameras. On multiple episodes of Teen Mom, fans can see Sophia’s personality shining through. Today, fans can follow 13-year-old Sophia through her Instagram as she showcases her changing style and time spent with her equally famous mother.
