There’s a bit of gloom in the forecast for this Christmas — at least for millennials!
A middle school teacher in Palms Springs, California has gone viral on TikTok after he presented his students with a fun homework assignment and received hilarious responses in return.
Mr. Frakes, who follows 7thgradechronicles on the social media platform, directed his class to give suggestions on what to give a certain age group as a gift this holiday season, and the internet can’t get enough of the clip.
“I asked my students: What should you buy someone in their 30s for the holidays?” wrote the teacher on a selfie video while standing in the classroom.
The broadcast then switched to a montage of answers on green sticky notes, including “signs that say, ‘Bless this home,'” “a bottle of wine and hip implants,” and “senior candles that smell like ‘home’ or ‘then.’ ”

As the clip continued, the pre-teens also suggested “wrinkle creams,” “a heated blanket because their muscles hurt,” and “a coffee mug that says ‘Don’t talk to me until I drink coffee’ because all millennials are obsessed with coffee.'”

Many commented in the comments that they would love to receive seemingly well-designed gifts.
“It’s me. I’m 30 years old. 😂🫣😬,” Mr. Frakes captioned the video, which has garnered 2.3 million views and counting.
The teacher has built quite a devoted online following by sharing content from his adventures in the classroom — nearly 200,000 followers, to be exact.

In an exclusive statement to PEOPLE, Frakes said, “I’ve been teaching 7th grade for 11 years, so I honestly don’t get overwhelmed by student responses. They keep making me laugh (and humble me) every day, which is part of the reason I still love my job. High school students make sure that every day is a new journey. I am extremely happy that so many people were able to watch the video and that it brought a smile to their faces!”
