90 Day: Brandan Gets a ‘Reality Check’ from Mary While Daniele Accuses Yohan of ‘Destroying’ Their Marriage

Eventually, the day might come 90 Day Fiancé: Another way it shows only happy moments — but that day was not Monday.

This week’s episode saw several couples take a step towards improving their communication, and one family planned a whole new future. However, between moments of clarity came sharp arguments and frustrating misunderstandings.

Kimberly and TJ’s wedding day was full of confusion as Shekinah’s sister became Sarper’s public enemy #1 due to some vulgar phrase he used to describe his girlfriend’s less desirable traits.

Here’s how it all went down and where the developments from the latest episode leave each couple.

Shekinah and Sarper

Shekinah’s family does not yet support her relationship with Sarper.

Shekinah was not immediately excited about her sister’s visit to Turkey. It wasn’t because she didn’t want to see her sibling – it was because she was afraid Sarper would say the wrong thing. She warned her boyfriend not to talk about his goals to change her weight, expecting retaliation from her sister.

Sarper avoided the topic, but found himself in the mouth for other reasons. It started when he recounted previous arguments in which Shekinah stopped responding to his messages. “If she’s texting, she’s acting like a slut,” Sarper said. When he saw the reaction of the women, he corrected his work. “I mean bitch.”

Shekinah described that moment in detail on camera. “I can’t believe Sarper is now calling me a slut and the B word. I’m horrified. It’s disgusting,” she said. “But he’s trying to express himself in English and he has a limited vocabulary and he’s trying to think of any word to describe me in a negative way right now. Like, wrong time, wrong word. Don’t call me that.”

There was little hope of redemption, and things only got worse as the visit continued. The sister challenged Sarper to show Shekinah her DMs on Instagram — or even to show them to her. Sarper became defensive and refused to hand over his phone.

“I’d rather die, you know? I’d rather die than show my DMs to anybody,” Sarper said in the interview. “DM is a private matter. I’d rather show my DMs, but you’re going to show your panties because it’s your private space. It’s the same thing. I’m not hiding anything, it’s not about that, and they don’t understand this one.”

The nurse finished talking and left Sarper’s home before dinner was even served. She said of her sister’s fate, “If it doesn’t upset the Shekinah and worry her, then I think I’m wasting my time here.”

Kimberly and TJ

Fiancé of 90 days

Kimberly cries in frustration during her pre-wedding ceremonies.

It was not a happy wedding morning for Kimberly, who had no idea what was going on. Cameras caught the American woman and her parents sitting patiently waiting to be escorted to one of India’s many wedding traditions. Kimberly eventually became angry out of frustration – and confusion – at the lack of direction.

There were tears after the thread ceremony, which Kimberly didn’t understand at all – because there was no translator to help her. “This ritual is important to TJ. If it is important to him, I also want to understand what is happening and the significance and meaning,” she said. “I don’t want to just go through the motions. I want to know and I want to learn, and I want to experience the culture as much as I can.”

Day 90: Kimberly’s wedding ends in a breakup

Next up was a Holi ceremony that required friends and family to touch Kimberly and TJ’s feet and cheeks. “I don’t like people touching me at all,” she said. “I especially don’t like people touching my feet. But at the same time, it’s with love and that makes me more comfortable.”

This lifted Kimberly’s spirits and helped her build excitement for the rest of the busy wedding day.

“We had a bit of a rough start, but I feel like I’m in a much better space,” she said. “This is probably the biggest night of my life, so I don’t want to think about the problems anymore. I’m letting all the negativity go. I just want to have a positive outlook and stay optimistic the rest of the day.”

Kenny and Armando

Fiancé of 90 days

Kenny and Armando tell their daughter Hannah about their huge life changes.

Kenny and Armando received a lot of good news as they looked ahead to a new chapter as a couple – and as parents.

In Sunday night’s episode, they told daughter Hannah that the family will be moving to Mexico City to welcome the baby. The first part went without a problem. “I really like living in La Misión, but now that my parents have told me to move to Mexico City, since it’s a big city, I’m excited to move to a new city,” Hannah said in an interview.

But the news about the baby caught her off guard. Hannah was open to the idea – but asked her dads not to bring home an older child instead of a baby.

Kenny quickly picked up on the insecurity at the root of Hannah’s question and paid attention to her fear that Armando would leave her.

“You’re always my baby and you’ll always be my baby,” Armando assured Hannah. “You know you’re my life. You’re my reason for being, my reason for being. And you always have to know that. Even if the baby comes, or something else, you’re my number 1.”

This helped Hannah feel confident about welcoming a sibling, and she even asked to share a room. However, she set one condition: “I will not change diapers.”

Armando was on cloud nine and said: “It’s a very good feeling to hear that Hannah agrees with our future plans. It shows that she’s happy after this change we’re going to have and that’s the best thing I could have wished for.”

Brandon and Mary

Brandan and Mary, 90 days engaged

Brandan and Mary appear to have reconciled after weeks of fighting – and questioning their relationship.

TLC

The tension from last week eased as Brandan and Mary made a pact to work together and stop fighting. Brandan admitted that he had been slacking in his adult responsibilities and said he was ready to make a change for the better.

“This conversation is a big reality check for me because we have to grow up and minimize our fights and arguments,” he said in the interview. “I don’t want to raise my child in a chaotic household or with divorcing parents. I’ve lived in that kind of environment almost my whole life, so I’m not going to miss this opportunity to show her that I can do it. I’m going to show up and fit the bill.”

Mary was honest about her expectations, telling him, “This is the last chance. I really won’t forgive you.” She vowed to put her unborn child first and demanded proof that Brandan could be a supportive father.

In a big step forward, Brandan also received Maria’s grandfather’s blessing to marry her – of course, the family wanted them to get married quickly so that a child would not be born out of wedlock.

Daniel and Yohan

Fiancé of 90 days

Daniele and Yohan talk about their fights with the life coach.

TLC

A surprise life coaching session showed Daniele and Yohan communicating well for the first time in a long time. It turns out that their constant arguments about money were simply fueled by a misunderstanding.

Yohan claimed that Daniele previously told him “I can work, you stay at home and watch the dog.” But Daniele denied in therapy that she had ever said anything like that. “I know in my heart, in my mind, I’ve never told any man in my life [that] “You don’t have to work, I’ll work for you,” she said. “Never in my life.”

Daniele doubled down in the confessional, insisting: “The suggestion that Daniele would ever agree to work all day while her husband sits at home and plays with the dog is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard.”

90 Days’ Daniele Refuses to Treat Yohan as a ‘Hold Man’ and Shekinah Calls Sarper a ‘Huge Red Flag’

Daniele told Yohan that she found his expectation “funny because it’s so ridiculous and I would never say that – but I understand why, if you thought I said that, you’d be confused at this point.”

Yohan agreed to step up with some “ideas” about how he could contribute more to the household.

“I came wanting to physically hurt Yohan, but I think it went very well,” Daniele said. “I feel like Yohan is really open and trying not to be so stubborn, but for our marriage to work better, he needs to show me some actions.”

Although Daniele accused Yohan of single-handedly “ruining” their marriage before the session, it seems the couple may have found a better understanding of each other’s needs — and a chance to save their relationship.
