90 Day: Gino Pops the Question Again as Sam Encourages Muslim Citra to ‘Break Rules’ and Drink

The ups and downs of Gina and Jasmine almost came to a romantic end in Sunday night’s episode Fiancé of 90 days.

That was before Jasmine decided to confess the secret she had been hiding in the final moments of their vacation in Miami. Still, fans got a glimpse of Jasmine and Gino at their best ever, with an incredibly sweet heart-to-heart about their relationship dynamic.

Elsewhere in the episode, Sam met Citra’s father, a police officer who still doesn’t know his daughter’s fiancé who is facing prison time.

Here’s how it all went down… and what it could mean for the happy couple.

Sam walked closer to his conversion, but not without drinking.

In Sunday’s episode, he took Citra on a date to a bar called Boozers. Although he said he’s not a big drinker (and Citra’s Muslim culture forbids her from drinking alcohol), they shared a fruity drink to do something wild before he converted.

“Before I speak, I want to have some fun, do some things that we don’t normally have — we don’t have the freedom to do anymore. Let her be carefree, wild child,” Sam said to the cameras.

Citra was also a drinker, although she expressed honesty about the rules of her faith. “We don’t have to tell my dad about it,” she said. “Keeping a secret.”

Sam talked in detail with Citra about some of the things he must not consume when he becomes a Muslim, including alcohol and pork. “You know I’m not a big drinker. My only problem is when you can’t — when you’re not supposed to do things, then it’s even harder,” he said, referring to his past struggle with addiction. “It’s just, you know with my past, I struggle with certain things. But I want you to help me set the guidelines and then, like, what do we call it, give things up, you know?”

Sam added in front of the cameras: “Alcohol, sex, drinking, drugs, they used to be a big part of me, so yes. Always that monkey on your back saying do this, do that, just have fun and screw it. Sometimes it’s hard to resist. Even after I convert, it will still be there, but I’ll do my best to be strong and just stay on the bandwagon. Be good. I really can’t screw this up.”

In the end, Citra’s dad and sisters arrived in America. Meeting with them briefly, Sam tried to communicate normally. However, the threatening secret brought him more anxiety than comfort to see his future in-laws. “The longer I keep this a secret, the worse it will get. When I tell him, I really don’t think he will take it well,” he said.

As their vacation in Miami came to an end, Gino planned a romantic evening for Jasmine. He transformed the hotel’s pool terrace into a date night oasis, complete with rose petals, flowers and candles.

“I definitely believe I have a romantic side and tonight I’m going to show Jasmine that I’m her bonito Romeo,” Gino said in front of the cameras.

Jasmine was in good spirits, saying the trip had rekindled her love for the American. “During this trip, Gino showed me nothing but love and how willing he is to change. That makes me feel good about what Gino is willing to do for our relationship and my kids,” she said to the cameras.

When comparing Gina to her exes – who were “muscular” – she told him the lessons he taught her. “What I’m trying to say is that this is true love. Personally, I should feel more grateful to have found you and had you, all your love, all your support. And I have to learn from you, honey, because you’re so kind and I’m so snarky all the time,” she said.

Gino added, “Yeah, you know how to be a real bitch.”

That didn’t stop the romance. “I promise with all my heart that I will fight hard against my emotions – I will try to be a better person,” Jasmine said. The vow brought Gino to tears as they talked about her conflict with his family – and how grateful Gino was that Jasmine would make more of an effort with his loved ones.

All this led Gino to propose to him (again!) this time, with a real diamond ring. (Yes, the one Jasmine had been hoping for since their first proposal.) She said a tearful yes, and the pair met in a sweet embrace.

“I always wanted a different engagement ring,” she said to the cameras. “As much as the first one meant to me, let’s be honest – it was cheap as k….”

The night was a conflict-free dream for Jasmine and Gino, but the episode wasn’t quite over. In an attempt to put the past behind her, the “new Jasmine” had something to confess: Dane, her ex, put up $2,000 for her BBL.

Gino was either offended or devastated by the confession – which has yet to be fully explored.

“I can’t believe we had such a good trip and you just killed all the momentum and happiness. I killed everyone,” he said at the end of the episode.
