90 Day Fiancé: Another way it was full of blind spots on Monday night.
Brandan’s mother tried to settle into his Filipino home, but found herself bombarded by creepy crawlies. Daniele was surprised by a minus in the bank account, and Kimberly went to sleep peacefully after the wedding – not realizing how much the spousal burden would soon befall her.
Communication was a problem for many couples as incompatibilities and lies piled up. Here’s where the couples left off on Monday night’s episode.
Kimberly and TJ
Kimberly enters TJ’s home as an official member of the family.
TLC
Now officially married in an all-night wedding, Kimberly and TJ cut back on some of their Hindu wedding traditions so she could get some much-needed sleep.
“This is probably the most exhausting experience I’ve ever had, but so far I’m loving being married to him,” she said before dozing off. “My goal right now is to give living here a fair shot, do my best to communicate clearly and calmly with everyone and let those relationships grow and flourish because I feel we all really need a fresh start.”
Day 90: Kimberly’s wedding is almost halted by a breakup
However, when she woke up, TJ had a lot to tell her about her duties as “head of the household”.
“We’re married now and Kimberly will soon know her responsibilities in the household, but she has no idea. And I wasn’t open about all of this with Kimberly so she wouldn’t freak out [about] things,” he admitted. “So in India we give that special respect to women just because they act like a mother whenever that happens [is] needed. She works outside, acts like a sister. And the janitor too. That’s why she is [the] head of the house.”
Above all, TJ expressed his respect for how his new wife adapted to his culture. “When I look at Kimberly, being an American, I’ve never experienced a Native American marriage, [I’m] I so appreciate how she made it through this… I really love her for this.”
Daniel and Yohan
Daniele tries to kick Yohan out of their shared apartment.
TLC
Viewers wouldn’t be too far off to worry that Daniele and Yohan could be over after their heated argument on Monday. Then again, they always went back in time.
Daniele questioned Yohan after she saw a $40 ATM withdrawal from her account — something she had noticed several times. Yohan initially denied taking the money, until Daniele threatened to ask the bank for video footage of who accessed her account.
Yohan felt that he was entitled to Daniele’s money as her husband, but Daniele did not appreciate that she had to pay the majority of their joint bills with her own money.
“Don’t stuff your mouth saying you do everything for me,” Yohan warned his wife, pointing to the rent, groceries and utilities he paid. Daniele gave an ultimatum — her husband could contribute equally or return to his mother’s house.
He replied in Spanish: “The problem is that I will not return empty-handed. You want me to leave this apartment? Give me the money I spent here.”

Daniele saw no point in returning Yohan’s rent. “The fact that Yohan is asking for rent compensation makes no sense to me. Like, why do I owe him this? Has he lost his fucking mind? Like, I’m not paying you.”
Daniele decided to take a stand, telling Yohan, “You need to find another American woman, one who is codependent. There are so many of them. I can refer you.”
She continued: “Get out of my house. You’ve gone crazy and I don’t want you here anymore. Do you understand that? I don’t want you here.”
But it didn’t look like Yohan was going to leave anytime soon – at least not without his money. Daniele reflected on the collapse of their marriage in an interview: “I never thought that Yohan would be a person who did not want to contribute equally. I believed he didn’t contribute because he couldn’t.”
She added: “But now that he can contribute and he chooses not to, and actively chooses to steal from me, who has been providing for him all this time, it’s so unreasonable. It’s offensive, it’s embarrassing. And this is another proof that Yohan is with me only for money.”
Shekinah and Sarper
Shekinah and Sarper test the mattresses.
TLC
It was all love for Shekinah and Sarper, who finally bought a new bed in Monday’s episode. While testing the mattresses, they looked back on their successful sex life. “You know you’re a multiple orgasm bitch, you know?” Sarper asked his girlfriend.
Shekinah was more coy on the subject, though she called their intimacy “the best sex ever,” even while sleeping on Sarper’s couch.

Even bigger than buying the bed, though, was Sarper finally posting a photo of himself and the Shekinah on social media. With their romance on display for all to see, the couple left the store happy and in love – and probably ready to test drive their new mattress.
Holly and Wayne
Holly thinks about her future in South Africa.
TLC
Holly had trouble adjusting to life in South Africa a week after the wedding. She zoomed in on her mother, who was also worried about Holly’s time alone. While Wayne worked to pay the bills, Holly was often alone, which she described as “very isolated.”
“I don’t know if South Africa will ever feel like home,” she said in an interview. “My life is so different and I have no friends. And Wayne is the person I fell in love with, so I feel a great responsibility on my shoulders for agreeing to this life. I should make this work, but at the same time, I don’t know if I can do it.”
Holly’s mom added more fear to Holly’s own stress by pointing out the lack of security in the country. “When I was there, I just didn’t feel safe. It was terrible for me. And I worry about you, she said.
90 days: Brandan and Mary’s ‘chaotic’ fights turn their home into a ‘war zone’ and Holly and Wayne investigate slavery
Brandon and Mary
Brandan has a serious talk with Mary about whose side she’s on.
TLC
Brandan’s mom settled in – or at least she was trying to.
The American woman had to adapt to the bugs and lizards that were found in her son’s house. “In my opinion, she has arachnophobia, but she just needs to know that there is a different way of life here in the Philippines,” Brandan said. “You have to be one with the bugs.”
He smashed a giant spider by her bed and later scared away a lizard lurking above the mattress. Meanwhile, Mary was still not thrilled about her future mother-in-law staying in their home. “I feel a lot of pressure because she will stay with me and Brandan. I’m really worried that she’s going to judge me and my family and the way we live regardless of what she’s done,” Mary said.
She highlighted her mother’s comments about the level of poverty in the area. Brandan countered that Mom was just not used to the kind of environment he was living in now.
Day 90: Mary criticizes Brandan’s ‘Mean Girl’ mom
To Mary, Brandan’s justification for his mother’s behavior was an act of betrayal. “You’ve been defending her from the beginning,” Mary said. Although Brandan insisted, “I’m on your side,” Mary shot back, “I’m not feeling it.”
Brandan was already sick of being in the middle – and this would only be the beginning. “My biggest hope that my mom will visit us in the Philippines is that she and Mary will be good to each other. Because if something bad happens between them, I’m in the middle,” he shared. “If I can’t get them to have just some sort of mutual understanding before they fight or, God forbid, get into a fight on our wedding day, that would ruin everything.”
