In Monday night’s episode, the Georgia peach explains that her romantic relationship with Russo “fell apart” after he “started throwing things in my face about Oussama and his age.”
Although Debbie was “hurt” by the studs in her previous relationship with the 24-year-old, she has pulled herself together and “already met someone new”. This time, Debbie started flirting with a 58-year-old guy from Miami named Ruben.
“We’ve been talking every day for a few weeks, and he’s Cuban. It has that exotic flare that I’m looking for,” said Debbie. “You know, it sounds romantic: ‘Cuban Ruben from Miami.’ And he is suitable for his age, and he likes to travel. And he ran with the bulls. Like, you know, he has my spirit.”

The episode featured a light-hearted FaceTime between the two, during which Debbie told her new crush, “Let me tell you one thing — this gringa’s got some Cuban moves, baby.”
Ruben took the first step to make things more serious. “The more we talk, the more I feel attracted to you and how we really connect very well,” he said. “So, I really want you to come to Miami. I think it’s time to take it into the personal world and see what comes of it.”
Miss Debbie was completely open: “OK, Ruben, here’s the deal — yes, you’re a unique guy, and that’s the kind of guy I’m attracted to. But navigating the dating world is very scary for me. I am a big dating amateur. I’m not sure if I can come see you in Miami right now.”
Ruben’s answer? “Life is too short to be boring!”

The couple – who quickly dubbed themselves “Sugar Hill Debbie-Licious and Ruben the Groovin’ Cuban” – decided to meet anyway.
“I don’t want to sit behind closed doors and think about what could have been,” Debbie said. “It’s like stepping into one of those romance novels.”
Although hopeful about her time with Ruben, Debbie — who was burned by her courtship with Oussam — admitted she still harbors some fears, noting: “There’s an element of romance and excitement, but it’s scary to meet someone online. It’s like you don’t know what the hell you’re going to get.”
