A feral cat wanders into the firehouse, attracts everyone’s attention, and finds a forever home

One day two years ago, an unnamed feral cat wandered into Fire Station 57 in New York City.

The firefighters greeted her by rubbing her belly and patting her head and soon she was released, asking everyone around to give her lots of hugs.

In return, she will repel rodents, and if the evening catches her prey effectively, she will make sure to bring them to her people the next morning. And because of her wild hunting skills, she earned the name Slayer.

If she’s not overseeing everyone’s work, she’ll be lounging on the couch or lounging around looking for some grooming time. So far, she’s done a great job making for a great day for everyone, and now that she’s here, the station will never be the same.
