AS Ravi Kumar Chowdary started his career in the Telugu film industry in 1994 as Sagar Assistant Director for the film Amma Donga (1995). He worked with Sagar for the next ten years. During this time, he also collaborated with director Seenu Vytla in the Telugu film Nee Kosam (1999). He made his debut as a director in 2002 with the Telugu film Manasutho, but the film failed miserably at the box office, but later in 2004, he directed Yagnam, which became a hit. Chaudhary has directed several films, including Jeevitham (2014), Aatadista (2008) and Soukhyam (2015). He also directed the TV show Dondu Donde (2016). He has worked with famous actors from south industrial circles such as T. Gopichand and Brahmanandam.

Ravi Kumar Choudary was clicked by paparazzi when he pulled Manara Chopra close and kissed her on the promotional tour of his film Thiragabadara Saami (2023) in August 2023 Cheeks, making the actress feel very uncomfortable.
