A woman notices someone hiding in a photo of a pile of leaves she took

Kathy Yates is someone who loves to walk around the neighborhood, enjoy the beauty of nature and always have her phone in hand.

While taking a relaxing walk around the neighborhood, she is always looking for different animals in and around her yard to photograph. Yates loves to find hidden gems, like a camouflaged amphibian.

In an interview, Yates said: “We have toads that love to roam around under the security lights in our store and I have a pretty flower garden nearby. They bury themselves in the humus of the flower garden or in the blowing leaves.”

The toad lay motionless to the left of the drain, its head covered with leaves. The woman might have missed the amphibian had it not been for her observation, so she took a picture and left it alone.

In his interview, Yates added: “I didn’t see him right away, but I noticed him as I walked past. I leave him alone [because] I want him to feel comfortable and know that it’s a safe place for him.”

The toad suits him well, hiding in plain sight, under a pile of leaves, among leaves of various colors and sizes. Later that day, when Yates reviewed the photos she had taken, she realized that it was difficult to see the tiny creature, which made her photo all the more special.

Now, when a woman walks past this particular drain or rock in her garden, she is very attentive and careful to step over or avoid a pile of leaves, just to make sure she doesn’t step on it. Must be some hidden gem.
