Emergency service services ran to the scene.

The rear head tunnel is also closed.

According to AA TRAGE reports, there are huge ranks north to Griggs Green -a -a -can -heading of the rear head tunnel, as far as Witley Common is concerned.

National motorways said: “The A3 in Hampshire is closed to the south between the A283 near Milford and B2131 Brasshotta because of the incident that led the police. It also includes closing the rear head tunnel.

“Emergency Service is currently on the spot. Traffic is currently stopped in the north for Air Ambo.”

Motorists are said to follow the diversions that are set up.

The A3 extends to 61 miles in the southwest of England and provides connections with the east facing A272 passing through the South Downs National Park.

It is also an alternative route to London from Winchester.

Tunnel A3 rear heads, near Haslemere, is the longest mainland tunnel in the UK.

It was opened in 2011 to preserve a large natural area called the devil punchbowl.
