Aafreen Vaz, also known as Dr Aafreen Rachael Vaz, is an Indian model and doctor. She was the first runner-up in Miss India 2015. She is also a senior mental health clinician. In 2018, she starred in the British suspense film “We Didn’t Kill Mia” directed by Jay Tank.

Aafreen Rachel Vaz was born on Sunday, December 23, 1990, in Mumbai, Maharashtra (age 31; as of 2021). She attended Hassanath High School in Mumbai. Aafreen moved to Auckland, New Zealand with her family when she was 11 years old. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Otago, New Zealand. She also underwent a year of radiotherapy at the University of Otago and was awarded a Royal Breast Cancer Society scholarship. In 2010, she gained further recognition in the fashion industry as a contestant on New Zealand’s Next Top Model. Later, she returned to India to continue her education as a medical student.

The Miss India beauty pageant organized a “Campus Princess” competition at JIPMER College in Pondicherry in 2015 and selected her as a contestant and she eventually won the title. While studying as a medical student, she participated in many beauty pageants such as Femina Miss India 2015, where she emerged as runner-up, and was awarded the title of Miss Sophie Fun in the Miss India 2015, and subsequently participated in the 2015 Miss India in Poland. Miss Supranational Asia and Oceania; she became the winner of the beauty pageant.
Aafreen Vaz won several beauty contests while studying medicine. She believes she is extremely lucky; she said in an interview,
I won’t lie. I’m extremely privileged, and in large part, that’s because my parents worked so hard to make sure I grew up knowing that I could touch anything and be anything I wanted to be. All I have to do is be honest with myself about who I am and work hard to become who I want to be. I was allowed to experience, explore, change and grow. ”
