A$AP Rocky Says ‘Making Children’ with Rihanna Is Their Best Collaboration: ‘Nothing’s Better Than That’

The couple are parents to sons RZA, 18 months, and Riot Rose, who was born in August

As far as A$AP Rocky is concerned, he and Rihanna have already completed their best collaboration – musical, business or otherwise.

The rapper, 35, was in Las Vegas over the weekend for the Formula 1 Grand Prix with the “Umbrella” singer, 35. When asked by Complex if he would ever consider collaborating with Rihanna on a project at Puma — where they both serve as creative directors on their own lines — he didn’t exactly have a job in mind.

“What could we band together and freakin’ smash and freak out?” Rocky thought about answering the question before replying, “I think we’re doing a really good job of working together and making kids.”

“I think it’s our best creation yet,” he said of the couple’s two sons, newborn Riot Rose and RZA, 18 months. “Nothing beats that.”

Rocky then welcomed a third player involved in his and the Fenty founder’s family of four — “a designer spirit named God” who he said “shaped everything.”

“And we have these beautiful angels, so it’s the best collaboration,” the “Sundress” rapper added about his children.

Rocky’s comments came after he and Rihanna stepped out together in Las Vegas on Saturday, joining a flock of A-list stars in town for the Grand Prix, including David Beckham, Justin Bieber and Paris Hilton.

The pair also made a surprise appearance at the launch of the new Puma x F1 collection, less than a month after Rocky was named creative director of the sports brand’s new partnership with F1. According to Puma’s website, the line will “focus on the intersection of athleisure and streetwear,” with Rocky designing “bespoke capsules” as part of his role.

Rihanna has long been associated with PUMA, having first launched the Fenty x Puma collaboration in 2014. She later took over as the brand’s creative director, making her fashion debut with a collection of highly sought-after footwear, including the iconic fluffy slides. She also showed her talent at numerous shows at New York Fashion Week.

She launched her latest collection with the brand in 2017, which included a uniquely styled range of sportswear and schoolwear.

That same year, she launched Fenty Beauty, releasing a then-unprecedented 40 shades of foundation — more than any of her competitors. The makeup brand has continued to dominate the beauty and skincare landscape since its launch, but the “Lift Me Up” singer is now returning to her Puma roots, as she announced earlier this year.

In March, the brand posted a cryptic message, which read “She’s back,” on an all-black screen and featuring the brand’s Fenty logo, hinting at Rihanna’s return.

Her Puma comeback took place in September with the launch of a new sneaker design she named Avanti. The $160 unisex sneaker is a hybrid of Puma’s King cleats and Easy Rider sneakers. Rihanna said News about footwear announced: “Soccer is a universal language that unites people from all over the world, from all walks of life, and I wanted to pay tribute to that.”

As for her design process, she said Vogue which she pulled from Puma’s “amazing” archives.

“There is so much history and heritage here, and I wanted to honor that by honoring Avanti. [The King is] a shoe which [Brazilian football player] Pelé played and became very famous, and I know people are looking forward to their return.”

The collection, which was released on September 15, also includes children’s sizes, which she said was a selfish move. “This time we expanded our creations to children, because selfishly I want my sons to be in everything their dad and I wear or design.”
