Drunk driving case
In 2010, Tohil Khan and Taufiq Khan were killed when his friend Prajakta Shukre rammed her car into a motorcycle. The brother was injured and he was subsequently beaten by the crowd. According to reports, Abhijit and singer Prajakta were racing when Prajakta lost control and hit the motorcycle. Subsequently, the local police said in an interview with reporters,
Locals who witnessed the entire incident immediately gathered at the spot and attacked Sawant who was trying to pacify the crowd. We rushed to the scene. After pacifying the crowd, we took Shukre and Sawant to the police station. A case was registered against Shukre and he was later released on bail. “
Later, when an eyewitness was asked about the accident, he said:
Three cars including Shukre are racing. Shukre’s traveling speed is 110 km/h. The two-wheeler hit a tree after the collision. We lost our temper when Sawant came and intervened and said he had many connections and was willing to pay for the treatment. It wasn’t about the money, it was the way he spoke that was rude and the locals were angry about it. “

- During his childhood, he lived in a one-room house with a joint family of seven or eight people.
- He was least interested in studies and had poor grades in school and college in the past. In an interview, he revealed that he used to hate studying and had anxiety issues during school exams.
- While studying in sixth grade, he participated in a singing competition for the first time. His performance was appreciated by the teachers.
- After completing class 10, he started working in a tape store earning Rs 600.
- One of his uncles was a stage performer. As a teenager, Abhijit often accompanied his uncle to stage performances, where he developed an interest in music. Then he decided to develop his own career in the entertainment industry. Later, he started practicing music with his uncle.
