On May 22, 2022, Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials conducted a raid at the house of Pooja Singhal and recovered around Rs 20 crore in cash. Pooja Singhal’s chartered accountant (CA) Suman Kumar Singh and husband Abhishek Jha were interrogated by the ED after a huge amount of cash was recovered from their house. During the raid, Abhishek Jha and his wife were also found guilty of hiding documents related to the illegal mining case. Abhishek Jha was arrested by Enforcement Directorate officials soon after the raid. After twelve hours of interrogation, he was allowed to go home. After leaving the emergency room office, Abhishek Jha tried to escape the media by climbing the wall of a neighboring house. He drove home from the house.
