In 2007, Abigail Shapiro starred in the film Grey Towers, in which she played the role of Miriam Aronowitch, a young Jewish director of an orphanage in the Victorian era who must cling to her Judaism and contend with a cruel director who is determined to erase all memory of Jewish life from the minds of the orphans in her care.

After that, in 2012, she starred in the TV series Glee, where she played one of the Golden Globe-winning singers. After completing her studies at the Manhattan School of Music, Abigail began her career as an opera singer. In 2014, Abigail Shapiro’s father, David Shapiro, uploaded two videos of her performing the opera arias “Hello! Oh, Margaret, it’s you” and “Adieux de l’hôtesse arabe” on his YouTube channel.

In March 2020, she came into the spotlight for her YouTube video, Conservative Women, It’s Our Time, with the tagline “Let’s take back our culture.” In the video, Abigail spoke about the importance of conservative women in the society and how they have been suppressed by liberals for years.
She was subsequently heavily criticized by many YouTube users who believed that Abigail internalized misogyny, was legalistic, and did not encourage feminism.

- In October 2017, Abigail came under huge criticism when she became a target of anti-Semitism, which is hostility and prejudice towards Jewish people. Apparently, her brother Ben Shapiro, a political commentator who believes homosexuality is a mental disorder, same-sex couples should not be allowed to raise children, normalizes civilian casualties, and also claims that “an American soldier is worth far more than an Afghan civilian”, has attracted huge criticism for his conservative views. When Ben’s haters found out that he has a sister, Abigail Shapiro, her YouTube channel was flooded with hateful comments and rape threats, such as “I want to rape her, chop off her head and mail it to Ben” and “Ben Shapiro is bringing all the Gentiles to the yard right now with his sister’s Khazarian milking machine.” Earlier, Abigail suspended her commenting privileges on her YouTube channel in an effort to silence her haters, but later, she decided to speak out publicly,
