Although it is difficult to have a bad meal in New Orleans – TripAdvisor called it the best food city of 2024 for a good reason – the choices can be irresistible. But the rapper, former chef and TV presenter Action Bronson says there is only one place to start a culinary trip in the city: Scotch House Willie Mae for their famous fried chicken.

Willie Mae’s was one of the 20 local chefs and dishes that participated in the Pepsi Nola Eats Fest, a free outdoor food festival during the Super Bowla weekend that celebrated a diverse culinary, music and cultural scene of the city.
“I just feel like there is no local food festival without them,” said Bronzon, who started his appearance with a push-up competition on stage with Emcee Theo Mitchell. “I think you need to bring the right places born and grown from this city and show that when you bring so many people to the city for an event like Super Bowl.”
