Ranjana Nachiyar, an actress and Tamil Nadu Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) official, made headlines when she was detained by the Mangadu police on November 4.
The reason for her detention was her involvement in an incident in which she slapped and assaulted pupils and students boarding a government bus at Kundrathur, Kancheepuram.
She also verbally abused the bus driver. Ranjana was arrested for obstructing the duties of civil servants, slapping and assaulting children.
However, it is important to note that the police official mentioned that no arrest warrant has been issued but instead an FIR (First Information Report) has been filed against the actor.

Police reportedly waited for more than 30 minutes outside Ranjana’s residence before responding. After a long argument, she was detained and taken to the Mangadu police station.
