Adam Copeland, also known as Edge, is out with an injury, forcing him to miss AEW Revolution 2024 after being attacked during a match. As a result, Daniel Garcia will now face Christian Cage for the AEW TNT title.
Adam Copeland injury update
Adam Copeland, also known as Edge, will not be able to participate in AEW Revolution 2024 due to injury. Last week during his match with Daniel Garcia he was attacked by a group called The Patriarchy. The match ended without a winner due to the attack.
To make matters worse, another wrestler named Christian Cage hit Copeland with a move called the conchairto, which hurt him even more. Now, due to injuries, Copeland has to stay away from television for a while. Due to the match ending, Daniel Garcia will now take on Christian Cage for the AEW TNT title at Revolution next month.
During the last match, Copeland seemed a bit of a villain, which makes his return more interesting. Christian Cage already plays the role of a defiant villain, so Copeland may have to change his character a bit to effectively counter him. Cage also has friends like Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne, so Copeland could deal with them as well. It’s uncertain when Copeland will return, but until then fans will have to wait to see him in action again.

The Age of Adam Copeland
As of 2024, Adam Copeland is 50 years old. He was born on October 30, 1973 in Orangeville, Ontario. His mother, Judy Lynn Copeland, raised him alone, diligently working two jobs to support him. Adam never met his father or even saw his picture. In an interview with Logan Paul in 2023, Adam mentioned that he has Scottish and Irish roots on his mother’s side.
Adam started wrestling when he was young, admiring wrestlers like Mr. Perfect, Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan. He met his future wrestling friend, Jason Reso, also known as Christian, when they were kids in Orangeville. They often went together to Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto to watch wrestling matches. Adam was only 16 years old when he went to WrestleMania VI in 1990 and sat ringside. That match, in which Hulk Hogan fought the Ultimate Warrior, inspired him to become a wrestler.
At age 17, Adam won an essay contest at his local gym, and the prize was free wrestling training. But he put his wrestling dreams aside to help his mom financially. He worked many jobs and later earned a degree in radio broadcasting from Humber College before returning to wrestling training.
Adam Copeland’s career
Adam Copeland began his wrestling journey in 1992 on Canada Day at Monarch Park in Toronto. During the 1990s he wrestled in Ontario and the Great Lakes region of the United States under the name Sexton Hardcastle. He teamed up with Joe E. Legend to form the Sex and Violence tag team. In the mid-1990s, he wrestled as Adam Impact for the Winnipeg promotion.
In 1997, Copeland joined a stable called Thug Life along with Christian Cage and others. During his time in independent wrestling, he won several tag team championships with Legend. Copeland and Cage were known as Hard Impact before becoming The Suicide Blondes and later worked in Japan as The Canadian Rockers. He also made a brief appearance in WCW as Damon Striker.
In 2023, Copeland made his All Elite Wrestling (AEW) debut at the end of the WrestleDream pay-per-view event. He signed a full-time contract with AEW and had his first match on October 10, defeating Luchasaurus. He later teamed with Sting and Darby Allin to defeat Christian Cage, Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne at Full Gear.
Copeland challenged Cage for the AEW TNT Championship but was unsuccessful. However, at Worlds End, he defeated Cage to become the new TNT Champion. Unfortunately, moments later he lost the title back to Cage, ending his reign as the shortest in championship history. Copeland then introduced “The Cope Open”, a series of open challenges for another shot at the title.
