Adele Jokes She’ll Look ‘Really Cheap’ at Beyoncé Tour Stop After Buying ‘Glitterball’ Outfit on Amazon

Adele fulfills Beyoncé’s birthday wish.

The singer, 35, revealed she was wearing a silver outfit on the Queen B Renaissance World Tour after Bey asked her fans to wear their “most amazing silver outfit” for “Virgo season”.

Adele is scheduled to attend Beyoncé’s tour at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium on Sept. 4, which also happens to be Bey’s 42nd birthday.

Speaking during her Las Vegas residency over the weekend in a moment captured by TikTok user @delly.fromtheblock, Adele told the crowd: “I’m going to see Beyonce on Monday, I’m so excited.”

She then asked the audience if any of them had visited Beyoncé before, which caused a roar of enthusiasm from the audience.

Adele continued: “You know I like to dress up every weekend and obviously this is her birthday show, so I said, ‘I’m not going in silver.’ Like I love my girlfriend but I don’t wear silver. I don’t even own silver, okay? So I’ll just wear a black tracksuit/sweatshirt.”

But the star said she soon changed her mind and ended up getting stuck in a late-night online shopping spree.

“Well, I was up until 3 a.m. on Amazon buying sparkly clothes,” she admitted with a laugh. “She asked everyone to dress up so I would look really cheap like a disco ball. It’s all from Amazon and it’s arriving on the weekend while I’m here so God knows what I’ll look like!”

Beyoncé asked the Beyhive to wear silver in a post shared on the home page of her website alongside a picture of the mirrorball cowboy hat she wore in promotional images announcing the tour.

It read: “The season of the Virgin is upon us. This tour has been so much fun and as we approach the final month, my birthday wish is to celebrate with you wearing your most amazing silver fashion at the 8/23 shows. until 22.9..”

The post continued: “We will surround ourselves with a glittering human disco ball every night. Everyone will reflect each other’s joy. Season of the Virgin together at House of Chrome.”

Meghan Markle and her mum Doria Ragland were even spotted complying, with Meghan, 42, wearing a silver skirt and white tank top at Friday night’s concert at SoFi Stadium.

Shooting shared on social networks also showed Doria, 67, in a high-necked silver top and white trousers. However, Meghan’s husband Prince Harry opted for a more modest ensemble, wearing a gray shirt, blazer and white trousers.

Beyoncé and Adele haven’t been shy about showering each other with praise for years. At the 2017 Grammys, during which Adele’s 25 won album of the year over Beyoncé’s LemonadeAdele called Bey “the artist of my life.”

“I can’t possibly accept this award,” Adele said on stage. “I’m very humble and very grateful and kind, but my artist of my life is Beyoncé. Lemonade the album was so monumental.”

Meanwhile, Bey said vanity fair in 2016 that Adele is “the most humble human being I’ve ever met.”

“She’s so easy to talk to and be with,” she said. “She’s funny as hell and her comebacks are legendary. The best thing about Adele is that she has clear priorities.”

She added of her singing talent: “When Adele sings, you can hear it coming from unfiltered honesty and purity. She creates songs that go deep and reveal pain and vulnerability with her deep voice. It takes you to places other artists don’t go anymore — like they did in the ’70s.”

In 2011, Adele also recalled her first meeting with Bey in an interview with Rolling stone.

“I was just about to meet Beyonce and I had a complete anxiety attack,” she told the publication. “Then she ran in looking beautiful, and said, ‘You’re amazing! When I listen to you, I feel like I’m listening to God.’
