Biography/Wiki
Adhi was born on February 20, 1990 in Sathyamangalam, Erode District, Tamil Nadu, India (33 years; age as of 2023). He rose to fame with the success of the song “Club Le Mabbu Le”, which he wrote with his partner. He became interested in hip-hop after seeing Michael Jackson’s single “Jam.” He wrote his own rap songs and began uploading them to the Internet. After getting a positive response from people, he created his own account on YouTube under the name ‘Hiphop Tamizha’ and used photos of Tamil poet Subramania Bharati to hide his work from his parents. Initially, Adi’s father did not support his music career until he was convinced after seeing his work. Hip-hop Tamizha has now become one of the most popular music groups.

Adhi received his education at Chavara Vidya Bhavan, Coimbatore. He graduated in Electrical Engineering from Bannary Amman Institute of Technology, Sathyamangalam, Tamil Nadu and MBA from the Department of Management Studies, University of Madras, Chennai.
He released his first single “Club Le Mabbu Le” on YouTube and within a week of its release, it had over 2 million views.
In 2005, he formed the music group “Hiphop Tamizha” together with R. Jeeva. They met through the social networking site “Orkut”.

In 2005, they released their first Tamil hip-hop mixtape “Vishwaroobam Arambam” and in 2012 their first album “Hiphop Tamizhan”. He has appeared in several music videos such as “Excuse Me Kathali” (2010), “Ezhuvoam Vaa” (2011), “Takkaru Takkaru” (2016), etc.
In 2013, he collaborated with Rémy Martin to produce an international album “International Tamizhan”, which contains 8 songs, two of which were sung by American artists “Sol” and “Emcee Call”, but the album has not yet been released.

Awards and recognition
- Adi is considered “the first artist to release an Indian Tamil hip-hop album”. He received awards from Mr. Thomas Bain of World Records University and Mr. Babu of India Book of Records.

- In 2013, he won the “Internet Sensation of the Year” award at the Big Tamil Entertainment Awards organized by BIG FM 92.7.
- In 2015, he won the title of “2014 Male Rising Star” at the Edison Award.
- In 2016, he received the ‘Saadhanai Tamizhan’ award from the World Tamil Chamber of Commerce (WTCC). He received this award from the Governor of Tamil Nadu.
- Adhi won the ‘Independent Artist of the Year’ award at Techofes, Anna University’s annual event.

- Music duo Hiphop Tamizha launched the “Tamizhanda Clothing” brand in 2013 in partnership with the Difference of Opinion company.
- He also launched the music label “Madrasi Mafia” which manages independent music artists.
