Adhik Ravichandran made his directorial debut in 2015 with the Tamil romantic comedy film Trisha Illana Nayantara. He is also the screenwriter of the film. The film was a success at the box office and was later dubbed into Telugu. In 2017, he directed and wrote the Tamil action comedy film “Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan” (also known as “AAA”). The film failed at the box office and received mostly negative reviews from critics. In 2023, he directed and wrote his third Tamil film Bagheela, which was released on March 3, 2023. The film ultimately flopped, receiving mostly poor reviews from audiences. On September 14, 2023, another Tamil science fiction action comedy film “Mark Antony” directed by Adhik Ravichandran was released in theaters. It quickly became a hit at the box office, earning over Rs. 1 billion rupees.

- Adhik’s mother did not want him to join the film industry as his father failed to make his debut despite working as an assistant director for almost 20 years. So, to please his mother, Adik chose engineering instead of his dream major in visual communication.
- He trained under Major AK Raveendran, an actor-director who worked primarily in the Malayalam film industry as an assistant director.
- In 2017, Adhik Ravichandran publicly criticized Kollywood actor Silambrasan for his arrogant attitude on the sets of the film Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan. He blamed the film’s failure on Slambalasan, accusing him of interfering creatively and creating problems during production as Slambalasan wanted to split the film into two parts and stop filming. In an interview, speaking about Silambarasan’s actions, he said:
When I realized things were getting out of hand, I wanted to stop shooting. I told the producers that doing the first and second parts of the movie was going to be a problem. But the producers talked to him and said things would work out. Even my reputation took a hit. ”
