Facts/Trivia
- After being transferred from Delhi to Mumbai on September 5, 2006, he worked as an assistant director for several years. In an interview, he talked about his struggling years. He said,
Initially, I got up very early every morning and went to each production workshop. I will look for a job there. Having worked in theater from the earliest stages of my life, I have always been fascinated by the way a director works rather than the way an actor works. Back then, the way they treated their assistants was ridiculous. Only a few production plants will ask you for water. “
He further said,
I still remember I was in Santa Cruz and I was told there were some jobs at GS Entertainment, but when I went there they denied there were any opportunities. When I walked out, I saw Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s production room. When I got in there, after being shunned by a lot of production companies, I was completely exhausted by this point. I had no support and no background in film. I’m also ready for an internship. I walked into the production room and walked up to the receptionist to ask for a job and she pointed out a gentleman named Mithun Gangopadhyay who was sitting there and from then on he became my closest friend in Mumbai. He was also an assistant director there, having joined a year ago. “
- In 2016, he was shooting for Dharma Productions’ film “Raat Baaki” starring Katrina Kaif and Fawad Khan, but due to the aftermath of the Uri terror attack in September 2018, the Pakistani artist Banned from entering India, the film was shelved.
- During the COVID-19 pandemic, he supported the “We Will Survive” movement, which helped those in need.
- Aditya Dhar enjoys playing cricket in his spare time.
- In interviews, he said he suffers from dyslexia, a neurodevelopmental disorder, which prevents him from reading and writing correctly.
- In an interview, he revealed that he wanted to be an army officer as a child. He said,
I have always been interested in the military and I wanted to join the military. As a Kashmiri Pandit, I have heard about terrorism since my childhood. We are also victims of terrorism, directly or indirectly. So when I heard about the strike, I wondered how the military was able to pull it off. After six months of research, I realized that this was one of the best covert military operations the Indian Army had ever conducted, and I knew I had to tell the story. “
- He appeared on the cover of Noise magazine in 2019.
