Detained for possession of cocaine
On August 8, 2017, Aditya Motwane was detained at Abu Dhabi Airport for possession of cocaine. He was held incommunicado by Abu Dhabi airport police for two days. A blood test confirmed he had taken drugs and he was sent for forensic examination. Airport authorities later referred the case for prosecution, leading to his arrest and detention in Al Wasba prison in Abu Dhabi.
