Aditya Paresh Rawal is an Indian actor and screenwriter, the son of Paresh Rawal. His first work as a screenwriter was the play “The Queen” which was performed on Broadway in the United States.

Aditya Rawal was born on Tuesday, September 28, 1993, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India (age 27; as of 2018). He was educated at Jamnabai Narsee School, Mumbai, and attended HR College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree. He studied a six-month designed theater program at the London International School for the Performing Arts (LISPA) in England, and subsequently graduated from the MFA in Dramatic Writing at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.

When Aditya was studying in Class II, he was active in sports and played as a goalkeeper in school. Later, in 2009, he joined a Mumbai-based football club ‘Kenkere FC’. He is the captain of Mumbai University Kenkre Football Club.

Profession

After graduation, Aditya created a historical drama “The Queen”, produced by New York’s “Metro Theater”. He also created a Chinese short film, “Mailbox,” which was a semifinalist at the NBCU Short Film Festival. Thereafter, he wrote scripts for various directors in India and the United States. His short films have been shown at various festivals around the world.

Aditya has co-authored two storybooks on children’s rights. He is the producer and director of a documentary titled Drama in Education: Taking Gandhi out of Textbooks. He is also the assistant director of the drama “Kishan vs Kanhaiya” which is a compilation of the movie “OMG – Oh My God!”.

In 2012, Aditya made her Bollywood debut with the film Ferrari Ki Sawaari, starring Sharman Joshi and Boman Israeli. He played a young Gujarati boy in Vikram Kapadia’s Bombay Talkies. In 2019, Aditya was selected to play the lead role in Anurag Kashyap’s film Baamfaad, opposite actress Shalini Pandey.
