Adwaita Nayar started her career in 2009 as a summer intern at CARE, an international NGO in Tanzania. She worked there for nearly three months. The next year, she signed up for an internship at Citigroup. In London, UK, she is part of the Industrial Investment Banking team.

Later, she decided to open a new branch of fashion products to broaden her business horizons. In 2018, she launched “Nykaa Fashion” and serves as CEO; it accounts for 25% of Nykaa’s business. She grew the platform 120 times in the first 12 months, then took the online business to offline stores and visited different cities to understand the market and consumer preferences. “Nykaa Fashion” later brought together more than 2,000 international and domestic brands and also launched some private brands such as 20 Dresses, RSVP, Mixt, Likha and Pipa Bella.
