America has talent is decorated with another inspiring golden moment!
During the September 3 episode of the hit talent show, Sebastián and Sonia, an aerial duo from Barcelona, Spain, proved that the show must go on after Sonia injured her arm during rehearsals. Despite being behind, Sebastián performed a solo number to “In My Blood” by Shawn Mendes.
As he spun, flipped and performed gravity-defying aerial silk stunts, the audience applauded Sebastián and watched in awe. When he finished his routine, Sonia joined him on stage and the pair shared a kiss before being praised by judges Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel.

“A lot of people would give up,” Simon said, before rhetorically asking, “How do you do this two-person one-person act and then make it amazing?”
“Honestly, I think most people would just say, you know what, we had an accident and therefore we can’t continue, but you did the opposite, you continued,” he added.
As the fans began to cheer louder and louder, Simon said Sebastián deserves a special mention not “just because” of Sonia’s misfortune, but because his performance was “the best reaction we’ve had so far” before pressing the coveted golden buzzer the evening. .
Golden confetti began to fall and Simon made his way to the stage to hug the ecstatic duo and congratulate them on Sebastián’s performance.

When host Terry Crews asked Sebastián how he was feeling, he replied: “Right now we feel like it was all worth it. It was a really hard day, I only had three days to [put together] this act and me alone [wanted to do] the best I could.”
Terry then moved on to Simon who offered an explanation of why he believes the duo deserve the biggest honor of the night.
“That’s the definition of bravery. You don’t quit, seriously,” he said, before giving fans a look at the brief words he exchanged with them. “I just said, are you going to be good for the final? And she said yes, so that was really the best so far tonight.”

With the Golden Buzzer on the live show, Sebastián and Sonia will go straight to the America has talent finals. They join AIRFOOTWORKS’ who received Howie’s Live Show Golden Buzzer in last week’s episode.
NBC made the announcement on August 6 AGT will change the live show format by introducing the first Golden Buzzer for a live show. In the first series, all four judges will have the opportunity to send acts straight into the finals with a live show buzzer over four weeks of quarter-finals.
After the end of the quarter-finals, 12 performers go on to the semi-finals, where they will compete for the first six places based on the votes of the viewers. Those six acts will then join the four Live Show Golden Buzzers in the two-night finale, which begins on Tuesday, September 17 and ends on Tuesday, September 24.
