- In January 2010, Ajay’s wife Vandana reported pickpocketing to the police. According to police, the wife of senior CISF officer Ajay Bhatnagar was targeted by pickpockets in the national capital. The incident took place at Select City Mall in South Delhi’s Saket while the couple was shopping. A police officer told a media chat that when Vandana and her husband approached a store, they noticed her purse was open. This made them uneasy, so they decided to investigate. Soon, they discovered her credit cards and cash were missing. The official stated,
