He became familiar with YouTube at the age of 8 in 2008-2009. After watching football tutorials on YouTube, he was inspired to create his own YouTube channel. He created his channel “Stealth Fearzz” in 2014 and uploaded videos related to football tips and tutorials. Later, he created another YouTube channel “Addicted A1” where he uploaded game review videos. He used to imitate Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan and Sunny Deol in his review videos, but his YouTube channel failed to gain a lot of views and subscribers. He then changed the channel name to CarryDeol and started posting gameplay videos. Eventually, his channel started gaining more views and subscribers and he decided to change the channel name to CarryMinati.

In an interview, he shared his initial experience as a YouTuber, saying,
In 2014, I started my channel, Addicted A1. I used to record gaming videos with my reactions and upload them. The channel didn’t do much for me and after a year, I had around 35 likes. Then, I thought about improving my content and started CarryDeol. (Modeling over the phone) The channel got a good response from viewers and the Counter-Strike community loved it and shared my work. After six months, I got bored and needed a change. That’s when I came up with what I am doing now – Tucao. ”
In 2017, his channel reached 1 million subscribers, earning him a golden play button. In the same year, he created another YouTube channel, “CarryIsLive.”

He gained popularity with his YouTube diss track “Bye PewDiePie” which targets controversial Swedish YouTuber Felix Kjellberg, popularly known as PewDiePie. CarryMinati’s collaborative tracks include “TRIGGER” with Vibgyor (2019), “Zindagi” with Wily Frenzy (2020), and “Warrior” with Wily Frenzy (2020).
He made spit videos on Bhuvan Bam’s channel ‘BB Ki Vines’, ‘Deepak Kalal’ and ‘Dhinchak Pooja’ which became very popular on YouTube. On 8th May 2020, he posted a spit video ‘Youtube Vs TikTok’ on his YouTube channel and within a few hours, the video started trending at the number one position and had more than 5 million views in a day. On 15th May 2020, the video was removed by YouTube; because his spit video violated YouTube’s terms and conditions.

I’ve been doing it ever since.”
