Ajit Krishnan’s career
When Ajit Krishnan passed out of high school, he joined the National Defense Academy where he showed his academic and sporting prowess and won the President’s Gold Medal for standing 1st in overall merit. He was awarded the Sword of Honor as the best cadet overall.
Ajit Krishnan completed his NDA training in 2001 and was commissioned into the fighter ranks of the Indian Air Force. He received his training at the Aviation Academy in Hyderabad where he flew various aircraft.
Because of his flying skills, he was selected for the highly sought after and difficult position of IAF test pilot.
Ajit Krishnan attended the Defense Services Staff College in Wellington where he excelled in his managerial and leadership skills.
He returned to India in March 2020 and continued his training at the ISRO facility in Bengaluru. He later went to the Vikram Sarabhai Space Center in Thiruvananthapuram where he interacted with the scientists involved in the Gaganyaan mission.
