Alamgir Khan Tareen was born in 1961 in Multan, Punjab, Pakistan (died 63 years old). He completed his education from CCH: Cadet College, Hasanabdar, Punjab, from 1971 to 1976. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and his master’s degree from Yale University in Connecticut. After completing his formal education, he started working in his father’s business in Multan.

Alamgir Tareen committed suicide by shooting himself with a pistol on July 6, 2023, at his residence in Gulberg, Lahore. He was found dead by his maid Alamdar, who became suspicious when Alamgir knocked on his door several times but did not open his room. The maid informed the police, who then moved the body to a local hospital.
