Alex Rodriguez clears up misconceptions about his appearance. The former New York Yankee, 48, jokingly referred to his “tan” in a new TikTok video after his appearance at the Minnesota Timberwolves’ game against the Milwaukee Bucks in Minneapolis on Friday caused an internet buzz.
While posting a fan’s comment that he had “really tanned overnight,” Rodriguez replied: “Okay everyone, I know I’m dark. But I’m Dominican and I went on vacation, and I fell asleep in the sun. ”
“So everybody calm down,” he continued before saying in Spanish “Traquilito y suavecito, mi gente,” which translates to “Quiet and calm, my people.”

Rodriguez added in a follow-up post about it on Instagram, “Everybody calm down, it’s just a tan 🇩🇴.”
In the comments section, Rodriguez’s girlfriend, fitness instructor Jaclyn Cordeiro, wrote: “You look amazing to me love❤️⭕️.”

Rodriguez’s appearance became a topic of conversation after he attended a Minnesota Timberwolves game with Cordeira, 44.
In a video posted to his Instagram Story from the event, Rodriguez, who co-owns the Timberwolves, stood next to Cordeiro as they watched the game — which the team lost 107-112 — at Target Center.

Last week, Rodriguez paid tribute to his girlfriend as she celebrated her birthday, which fell on Valentine’s Day.
The retired baseball player posted a series of photos of the couple together and wrote in the message: “Happy Birthday and Happy Valentine’s Day @jac_lynfit. Thank you for making every day more beautiful. You are a beautiful light in my life and you make me better every day. I love you a lot!”

In the first photo shared, Rodriguez and Cordeiro are seen embracing in an indoor kitchen while wearing matching green outfits. Other photos included in the carousel post show the couple posing together at a black tie event, on a car ride and together by a lake in Venice, Italy.
Rodriguez also posted a montage video honoring Cordeiro for her birthday on TikTok.
Rodriguez and Cordeiro were first romantically linked in October 2022, Page Six reports. The couple became Instagram official on December 17, 2022.
