Alexander Auder Wikipedia, High Maintenance, Mother, Wiki – One of Andy Warhol’s inspirations was Viva, the mother of Alexandra Auder. Viva acted in two of Warhol’s films, Lonesome Cowboys and The Loves of Ondine, and spoke to him on the phone when she died in 1968.

Warhol’s environment caused Auder to have an unconventional childhood. When she was a child, she played the daughter of a landlady in an underground movie. Auder and Viva left their home in a beat-up car and traveled across the country with a cat they adopted on the road when Auder’s parents divorced when Viva was five.
The car had no heater, according to Auder. “So at some point we were without heat in Stenjak. And every time my mother said, ‘Oh, God, my feet are freezing to death,’ she would rub one of her feet to warm them while she was driving.”
Alive, Auder and Gaby Hoffmann, Auder’s younger half-sister, lived for a time at the Chelsea Hotel in Manhattan, which was famous for hosting notables such as Leonard Cohen, Dylan Thomas, Virgil Thomson and Bob Dylan.
I had a great time living there, says Auder of Chelsea. “Of course, there are wandering individuals that come and go. Although there were often policemen and some strange characters, a “normal” person might be horrified by the crowd, but I was never threatened in any way. In fact, he admired eccentrics.
High Maintenance is one of Auder’s roles in the HBO series. She is also a yoga instructor known for mocking the marketing of yoga on Instagram. In her recent memoir, Don’t Call Me Home, she recalls her unusual upbringing.
at the interview
She was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen, and when I was younger I was very impressed with her. Also, I enjoyed her when other people recognized her in public, which sometimes happened. She really tickled me. She was, in my opinion, the most intelligent and hard-working woman in the world. And being who she is, I don’t think she thought about it too much, like “I want to be a celebrity” or “I’m a celebrity.” Honestly, she was just going through the motions. And her meeting with Warhol was just one of those strange synchronicities that happened on the streets of New York in the 1960s and will probably never happen again.
