Amber Marshall is well known to fans of Heartland, Canada’s longest-running TV drama loved by viewers around the world. In the program, Marshall portrays the beloved protagonist Amy Fleming, who captivates audiences with her horse-whispering abilities. Fleming, her character, has gone through many ups and downs in life, including romance, marriage and parenthood. Fleming is married to Ty, played by Graham Wardle, and the pair have chemistry on screen.
Fans of the couple sent them, but the actress is not married to her on-screen husband in real life, contrary to popular belief. She is actually happily married to her Canadian husband Shawn Turner. Turner is quite a secretive person and it is not known what he does for a living.
Amber Marshall and her husband’s wedding
Marshall and her husband met in 2010 at a horse show. The two agreed because they had the same interests, and they were brought together by their love for the rural way of life. They started dating, and three years later, on July 27, 2013, they got married. And as lovers of the countryside, they chose a rustic outdoor wedding on their 100-acre ranch in High River, Alberta. Marshall couldn’t think of a better place to film the program than High River.
“Shawn and I are local people. We immediately thought ‘we have it at home’, said the actress
During the wedding planning process, the couple was hands-on and very engaged. They didn’t pay wedding planners, and her husband added a personal touch by hand-crafting the altar, which Marshall called “the biggest part of the ceremony.” The actress rode to the altar with her father, who recently learned to work with a horse by holding the reins, fittingly as the famous horse whisperer. Heartland co-stars Michelle Morgan and Chris Potter, who play the bride’s sister and father on screen, were also present at the wedding.

Does Amber Marshall have any children?
Marshall and her husband currently have no children. Marshall, on the other hand, has a lot of experience as a mother thanks to the drama series. Marshall’s Fleming and TY became parents to Lyndy Born, played by identical twins Ruby and Emmanuella Spencer, in season 11. Marshall discussed working with children and her hopes of having children in a 2017 interview with The London Free Press.
“(The twin sisters) in the program are happy babies, but the babies are meant to be miserable in certain cases. The hardest part was hiding her smiling face from the camera when she was supposed to be sobbing because her teeth were coming in – Marshall looked back at the outlet.
She further said that filming such sequences requires ingenuity and strategy. When it comes to her own children, the actress is waiting for the right moment. She said that she would like to have children, but that due to her busy schedule, she won’t be able to do so anytime soon, despite her fans begging her to do so.
