All About Emma Stone’s Brother Spencer Stone

Emma Stone loves her family very much – especially her little brother, Spencer Stone.

Two siblings were raised by Jeff and Krista Stone in Scottsdale, Arizona — Jeff is the founder and CEO of a general contracting company and Krista is a homemaker. Emma and Spencer spent their childhood in Scottsdale, Arizona, a city located not far from Phoenix. In an interview with actress Diane Keaton in 2015 for Interview magazine, she said her family lives on the 16th hole of the golf course.

“Wikipedia once said that my parents owned a golf course, which couldn’t be further from the truth,” La la country said the actress. “But if you’re in Arizona, you’re at least within a few miles of a golf course, if not on it.”

For two months every summer, Krista, Emma and Spencer would escape the desert heat and go to the beach in Coronado, California. The actress told director Cameron Crowe in a 2012 interview Interview magazine that if they didn’t, they would spend their summers “in a cold, dark room watching movies”.

They put on plays together as children

As the older sibling, Emma always involved her little brother in her creative pursuits. Spencer said Republic of Arizona that as children they would put on plays together. “She was the director and she managed me amazingly,” he said. “She would be the star of the show and I would be everyone else.”

In addition to creating shows, they would also watch them together. While walking the red carpet at the 2017 SAG Awards, Spencer and Emma shared Entertainment Weekly that their favorite movie they watched as a family was Steve Martin’s 1979 comedy Moron.

“[The Jerk] was my dad’s favorite,” said the actress W Magazine 2011 “I wasn’t much of a player, but I was loud. And bossy. I wanted to be Steve Martin.”

He worked as a double

Like his sister, Spencer worked in the entertainment industry. According to Romper, he worked as a stunt double, appearing in films such as Divergent, Sharknado and V/H/S/2.

It is not clear which actors Spencer doubled for or if he is still actively pursuing this career.

In 2012, Emma took home the Spike TV Award for Hottest and Funnyest Guy. She began her acceptance speech by letting the crowd know that Spencer told her to say the following or he would “hit her.”

“You are idiots,” he said Super bad said the actress. “I’m neither hot nor funny … And Spencer Stone is the f*cking coolest. He’s a hot as hell. Being an A-list celebrity and household name can get to anyone’s head, but Emma credits her parents and brother for keeping her grounded as she navigates Hollywood.

“My mom is pretty awesome,” she said during a 2016 interview ExtraTV. “My family is pretty good. I have a brother who won’t listen to my stories.”

Spencer has walked her share of red carpets, many of which have led to some of Emma’s biggest career moments. He was her companion for the 2017 Oscars and couldn’t contain his excitement when she won her first Academy Award for La la country.

“I asked him to hold my hand, and when they said my name, he jumped in front of me,” Emma later told Fallon Tonight’s show. “There’s this picture from the back of the theater that my mom has now framed. It’s so cute because I’m still sitting and he’s standing up… It was really a sweet memory.”
