Sean Hannity and Ainsley Earhardt confirmed their relationship with personal news.
In 2020, a source told PEOPLE that the Fox News anchors were quietly dating. Four years later, Hannity and Earhardt announced their engagement on December 26.
“We are overjoyed and so grateful to our families for all their love and support during this wonderful time in our lives,” they told Fox News.
They were both married. Hannity and his ex-wife Jill Rhodes divorced in 2019 after more than 20 years of marriage. Earhardt and her ex-husband Will Proctor married in 2012 and divorced in 2019.
A year later, Earhardt openly told PEOPLE about a possible remarriage. “I would like to find love again and I want to show the love relationship with Hayden [her daughter] one day, she said.

Hannity and Earhardt have worked at Fox News for decades. Hannity started with the network when it was formed in 1996 and hosted its commentary program, Hannity, since 2009
Earhardt began working on the early morning and weekend shows in 2007. Nine years later, she was promoted to replace Elisabeth Hasselbeck on Fox & Friends.
“I’m so excited to wake up America every day,” she told PEOPLE in March 2016. “This is the best time of my life. It just keeps getting better and better.”
During an interview with PEOPLE in October 2019, Earhardt talked about her experience working at Fox. “I’m thrilled to have landed a big job in New York with my little girl dream,” she said.
Earhardt continued, “The most monumental parts of my life … happened while I was working at Fox.”
They went quietly for “years” before announcing it publicly

In June 2020, a source close to the couple confirmed to PEOPLE that the Fox News stars had “been seeing each other very secretly for years.”
“He’s very private because he’s very famous and he’s very controversial, but it’s an open secret that they’ve been seeing each other,” the source said.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Earhardt reportedly rented a house near Hannity’s home and recorded in his home studio.
A source revealed: “They’ve been together all the time, but privately… for years, not just months.” They added that Hannity and Earhardt have been spotted “acting flirtatious off-hours” and “hanging out in the back” of a NYC bar.
After the news broke, they denied their relationship. In a statement through a spokesperson, Hannity said, “I do not discuss my private life in public.”
Meanwhile, Earhardt said in a statement through a network spokesperson: “I am currently focused on raising my daughter and am not dating anyone. As anyone at Fox News will tell you, Sean is a wonderful person and whoever he chooses to date, he’s going to be extremely happy.”

In October 2021, Hannity appeared on Fox & Friends to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Fox News. While Hannity and Earhardt neither confirmed nor denied their relationship during the segment, it seemed to hint at a special relationship.
When one of the hosts, Brian Kilmeade, asked Hannity if he had a favorite Fox & Friends host, Earhardt chimed in. “Yes, he does,” she said. Hannity responded, “It’s between Steve [Doocy] and Ainsley, for sure.”
She also talked about Hannity later in the conversation. “He’s the most generous person,” Earhardt said. “You’re just a really good person, Sean, and you’ve helped everyone in our careers.”
Hannity responded, “That’s a nice thing to say.”

In December 2019, Hannity was a guest on Earhardt’s program, Ainsley’s Bible Study. The show features the host “discussing faith, family, trials and triumphs with guests from all walks of life,” according to Fox Nation.
Hannity opened up about the role Christianity plays in his life during his appearance. “My faith actually got stronger as I got older,” he explained. “I would say that I understand more than ever that I not only need, but also want God in my life.”
Later, Earhardt shared words about his work on the air.
“You know, you’re very good on your show saying, ‘I’m not perfect. I need God. I made a lot of mistakes,’ she said. “And I think people love that about you.”
They traveled together

In August 2019, Hannity and Earhardt attended their colleagues’ wedding together, arriving together in Hannity’s helicopter, per Vanity Fair.
They took it Hannity by host helicopter to the Trump National Golf Course in Colts Neck, NJ, where Fox & Friends weekend host Pete Hegseth and Fox producer Jennifer Rauchet have married.
The wedding was reportedly not the first time the couple had enjoyed a helicopter ride together. A PEOPLE source noted that he “took her on vacations in his helicopter many times.”
They were photographed during outings

Three years after romance rumors surfaced, Daily Mail got some photos of Hannity and Earhardt that appeared to be dates.
The duo was photographed posing with an ear of corn at the 2022 Oyster Fest on Long Island. In another picture from January 2023, they were at a Waffle House in South Carolina.
Hannity and Earhardt announced their engagement in December 2024

During Christmas week, Hannity proposed to Earhardt at a local church in Florida.
The couple told Fox News that they initially bonded over shared religious beliefs and thought the church was the “perfect place” to get engaged.
According to the media, they walked the distance between Florida, where Hannity lives, and New York, where Earhardt works.
The presenters also said that they “still get along well” with their ex-spouses and that they “let them know ahead of time that this was happening”.
Hannity and Earhardt also received the blessing and support of their children: Hannity has two children, Patrick and Merri, with ex-wife Rhodes, and Earhardt has a daughter, Hayden, with ex-husband Proctor.
