Shemar Moore has a special little girl in his life, his daughter Frankie.

Moore revealed that they were expecting na Show Jennifer Hudson just two weeks before Frankie’s birth. In that time, FLATTEN star revealed that becoming a father was a milestone his late mother, Marylin Joan Wilson-Moore, was looking forward to before she died aged 76 in February 2020.

“All the things I’ve done are great, but I’m tired of just working for me, working for me, and now my mom is smiling up in heaven; this was her dream,” he said on Conversation in May 2023.

Even though she’s young, Frankie already inherits her father’s looks and acting skills.

“She has a stinky face that rests when she’s mad at me. We can’t figure out who the baby looks like, but she obviously has my hairline, and she has a Hondo face,” he explained, referring to his character Sergeant Dan “Hondo” Harrelson on CBS – this series.

Frankie Melelina Kapule Moore arrived on January 24, 2023, weighing 7 lbs., 1 oz. and 20 inches long.

“Shemar Moore and his partner, Jesiree Dizon, are happy to announce the birth of their baby girl. The family is very happy and healthy,” Moore’s rep told PEOPLE.

Moore also announced the personal news on Instagram, sharing a photo of himself looking at his newborn daughter.

“BABY GIRL in the building!!!” he partially wrote. “Already the LOVE OF MY LIFE!! I’m a girl daddy!!!! HOLY S—!!! DREAMS DO COME TRUE!!”

Before her birth, Young and restless the star shared a special video on Instagram in which she finds out the gender of her baby in the circle of loved ones. “I’m very excited for this part of our life together and it’s going to be amazing,” Dizon said.

Her due date had a special meaning

Although Frankie arrived two weeks before the expected due date, it was still significant for the father-to-be for another reason.

“I’m Shemar Moore, I’m 52 and a half years old. My mother is in heaven, it’s going to be the three year anniversary right now on February 8th,” he announced during an appearance on Show Jennifer Hudson. “And on February 8th, I’m going to make one of her dreams come true because real-life Shemar Moore is about to become a dad.”

He added: “I’m so excited. I’m sorry he can’t be here. For a while I was worried it was ‘that ship has sailed’ but God had my back and things worked out.”

Moore’s mother Marylin died on February 8, 2020 at the age of 76. At the time of her death, the actor spoke about his loss in several videos, sharing photos and memories of her. He also revealed that Marylin had suffered from heart problems and had previously spoken about her multiple sclerosis diagnosis in 1999.

When Frankie was only 3 months old, Moore appeared on Conversation and took his family with him.

“My life changed. I did so many wonderful things, I was blessed. And life was magnificent, and life was difficult, and then you survived through it and now I have the greatest miracle in my life, – he shared with the presenters and the audience before Dizon brought their daughter on stage.

Besides complimenting his “little fat burger” Frankie, he expressed his admiration for Dizon’s parenting skills. “I’m honestly just following her lead. She is so warm, full of love. She’s there, she’s in the moment,” Moore added.

She has brothers and sisters

Frankie has two older siblings: Dizon had a son, Kaiden, in 2006 from a previous relationship, and also shares a daughter, Charli, born in 2017, with actor Stephen Bishop.

“I must have done something good in my past life to, not just once, but TWICE, hit the jackpot,” Dizon wrote in an Instagram post celebrating Mother’s Day 2020. “I can’t believe I get to call you both mine.”

Since Frankie joined the family, Dizon has caught glimpses of Kaiden and Charli spending time with their little sister. In a series of photos, they were seen hugging her tenderly.

She spoke the first words about Moore

The actor was beside himself when he heard Frankie trying to speak and he was the topic of conversation.

In a clip uploaded in August 2023, Dizon can be seen holding their daughter on the couch as Moore leans over the child asking her to say “yes yes”. Frankie reaches for her dad’s face before saying “yes yes”, causing her parents to explode with joy.

Moore and Dizon have been chronicling their daughter’s milestones for followers on Instagram, including her first steps and holiday celebrations.

In November, he shared an adorable video of his daughter enjoying bouncing around in a colorful stroller.

“STANKY LEG!!!! Bang that drum Frankie Girl!! Show them what you’re dealing with!!! 🥰,” he captioned an Instagram shot of her moving excitedly.

Frankie also celebrated her first Halloween dressed as a skeleton. Her parents wore black clothes and masks, while the then nine-month-old child wore a black skeleton. They were joined by Charli, dressed as Batgirl in a pink dress and mask.
