“I think the kids were happy to have the friends they have in the building and to be able to grow up with the pool and the tennis courts,” she said of her children’s experience in the building.

“When they were growing up, I took them to see a lot of different plays and musicals, and I think seeing certain plays influenced them,” Flender said. “The productions they saw and, even growing up in New York, shaped who they are today.”
Despite encouraging her children’s artistic interests, Flender also stated that she did not push them into their acting careers. “I planted the seed, and our lifestyle really inspired those interests, but they were always in control of their careers,” she said. “I was encouraging, you know, but I didn’t say, ‘You better get this job.’ ”
However, while she supported Timothée’s acting career, Flender said Guard at first she did not agree with Bones and all the actor’s decision to leave college.
“I always encouraged him to follow his passion and dreams. However, I didn’t want him to leave Columbia. I went to Yale and I felt that college would help him be a well-rounded person. But we didn’t know that he would become Timothée Chalamet,” she said. “He definitely made the right decision for himself because look where he is now.”

I waited for about three minutes and after that I didn’t have the key card, I realized,” he said. “I ran across the entire ship several times and cried. I finally got the key card and when I came back…she covered herself with it [the balcony’s footrest]. I was really devastated. She saw how devastated I was.”

“I think the most precious thing I get from my parents – and I try to give back to them as much as I can – is their love and support,” he said. “I hope it doesn’t sound cheesy, but it’s true. In your late teens, early twenties, you suddenly realize that your parents are human. That’s not to say I don’t get really good advice from them, because I do. But you get to a certain age and you take control of your own life.”
Timothée added: “My mum recently put up this photo of her and my dad at a movie premiere in LA nice boy and shakes the heart in a great way, they are simply beaming with pride. It’s almost overwhelming.”
