Allison Janney Says Kissing Bradley Whitford on The Diplomat Was Like Kissing Her Brother (Exclusive)

Allison Janney and Bradley Whitford may have portrayed friends on screen and husband and wife, but she told people that their friendship reminiscent of their brother and sister’s relationship.

Janney, 65, exclusively told people that “absolutely crazy” that her ex was West wing Costar played as her husband in Diplomat.

Janney praised Diplomatsaying that the “amazing” series “is such a great show.”

“Keri Russell and Rufus Sewell are so divine, and I’m so happy to be a part of it,” she told People. A series of political thrillers is accompanied by US Ambassador to UK, Kate Wyler (Russell) and her husband Hal Wyler (Sewell) as they try to prevent a global war.

“And now Brad, it just makes him even tastier. That’s so great,” she said before she concluded, “I’m really excited about that.”

Janney joined the series in season 2 as Vice President Grace Penn, who was positioned to become the US president based on shocking events in the season 2 finals. In the meantime, Whitford will join the season 3 as her husband Todd Penn.

Cahn had previously told Tudum that Whitford “was a fantastic version of Todd – for all of us,” adding, “We still can’t believe that this came true.”

“Bradley was the perfect addition to what the acting game is already,” said the executive producer Janice Williams for Tudum.
