AMANDA Abbington has spoken out after her dramatic exit from Strictly Come Dancing for the first time.
The Sherlock actress (49) was Giovanni Pernice’s partner in a dance performance, but the couple clashed early on.

She has now hinted she feels “pushed over the edge” as she urged people to “be kind” in her first interview since her shock exit.
Speaking on Boogaloo Radio, Amanda said: “My thing at the moment is ‘be kind’, it’s always been ‘be kind’.
“It’s, ‘You don’t know what someone else is going through, you have no idea what’s going on in their life so before you say anything hateful and cruel, just check yourself’.”
She continued: “It takes a lot more energy to be hateful, to be horrible, where you just can’t say anything or say anything positive.
“We live in a world where the laptop, the phone and social media allow you to say whatever you want without any rebuke, and you have no idea what that comment might do to someone – it might push someone over the edge to do something and God knows we have to take care of each other.”
The star shared a statement last week confirming she had quit Strictly and cited her “deepest regret” and “personal reasons” for leaving the BBC competition.
She added that “she did not come to this decision easily or lightly… I am so sad that I cannot go on”.
Strictly’s Giovanni did not comment after Amanda refused to mention or thank him in her statement.
Beneath her post, dozens of Strictly pros and celebrity contestants wished her luck, with her fiance, Britain’s Got Talent hunk Jonathan, writing: “You’re so amazing.
“So incredibly beautiful but also incredibly brave. So proud to be your man xx.”
