Amber was a proud graduate of Tecumseh High School, Class of 2001, and she brought joy to everyone around her through her passion for gardening, planting flowers, and caring for her cherished dogs. She also loved spending time on the lake, going camping, and gathering around bonfires with her family and friends. Amber was known for her caring nature and worked at Linden Square Assisted Living in Saline, MI, where she was deeply cherished by all the residents.
Amber is survived by her loving mother, Kathy Jo Thomas, and her adored son, Mason Wade Richmond. She leaves behind three brothers, Allen (Ginger Fletcher) Thomas, Joshua (Shelly) Thomas, and her twin brother, James LaVern (Kim) Thomas. Her aunts, Candis (Dan) Strine and Helen Davis, also mourn her loss, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Amber held a special bond with a group of friends she had since high school, who will forever cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her beloved father, James LaVerne Thomas II, and all of her grandparents. The memorial service to honor Amber’s life will take place at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, located at 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI, with Rev. Richard Mortimer officiating. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, also at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, MI.
